Hi All,We have a official release of 200.15.6.112.54 available in support site, please check.
so does this fix the apple / IOS devices and other devices with poor signal and IOS devices roaming between APs? Because so far, after updating, I see more devices being listed as poor and moderate for signal, where even before the reboot there were none in that condition, they were all excellent - this version seems to not fix all the issues that were introduced in 200.15, and seems like a significant download from 200.14.
Well this version is certainly got issues with IOS devices, after an iphone goes to sleep, it will not reconnect to the wifi. I will revert back to 200.14 again..... really wished Rukus could have got this version corrected/working properly.
I have had massive issues with 200.15 with IOS devices...again.... Rolling back to 200.14. Not happy.
Yep, this release looks to be significantly more broken than the previous build.
😭
I second this. It's very rough.
Hi Everyone,We are actively working on the issue to find the root cause. So far we are not able to reproduce the issue but we are trying multiple scenarios. However we are missing some information the setup\settings customers are using. So far the issues reported are 1. Home pad mini devices are still having connectivity issue.2. iphone\iPAD Pro devices are having roaming issue.3. iPhone\iPAD pro are having connectivity issue after waking from sleep mode. Can someone help us to provide the below information? it will be very helpful for us to address the issue faster.
1. Apple device software version.2. AP Model.3. Wlan settings, like WPA2 or WPA3 etc.
I understand most of the users are already downgraded to 200.14, but trying to see if any customer is still on 200.15 or can upgrade to 200.15 to get the below information.
For "Home pad mini devices are still having connectivity issue"
a. Can you confirm if the 802.11r was enabled during the issue?b. Could you share "Client connectivity" log from Diagnostics tab?c. Debug file under "Diagnostics >> Debug Info tab"For "iphone\iPAD Pro devices are having roaming issue"

Hi Everyone,We were able to reproduce the Roaming issue and the we have fixed it, we have a QA build available which is tested and production capable.@username @ryanww @wootsuit @Squozen will it be fine if you can you help us to load the image and check if is working for you? This will help us to get the confirmation from the customer setup as well?
I may be able to test a QA build -- will rollback be an option if it doesn't work out?
Yeah, I can test.
HI @wootsuit Thanks.Yes, you can roll back like normal steps.I will share the link separately to you.
Hi @ryanww Thank you, I will share the link separately to you.
Same as @wootsuit said, I can test it, but I want the option to rollback should it fail.
@ryanww Can you confirm the AP model please.
@wootsuit Can you confirm the AP model please.
I can test
Hi Everyone,Thank you for helping us in the build test, I have shared the link with some of you, please check and let know the results.Regards,Sanjay Kumar
I would like to test too. I have R550 and R320.
In both 200.15 releases I'm getting semi-frequent AP reboots. AP Restart : application rebootAll my APs are R350
Reboot Reason In Detail Recently:rsmd_func apmgr monitor Monitor: APMgr process not aliveApplication Crash Reason In Detail RecentlyInternal Error, /usr/sbin/apmgr receive Signal# Segmentation fault #
@gritech Could you please open a support case and share the AP support file so that we can track the issue.
@sanjay_kumar I did open case 01688593, but cannot proceed as I don't have a support contract.
The case does have the AP dump attached.
I tested the beta patch and I am still seeing iOS devices dropping from the 5Ghz network during sleep. I have 802.11r and 802.11k enabled. Rolling back.
what is the status of getting this fixed? I'm having the same exact issues. Random disconnections of MacBook pros and iPhones as well as poor connections and roaming. None of those issues in 200.14.
It's incredibly frustrating that this still hasn't been fixed. Apple devices are everywhere, and these APs are supposed to just work, yet this is the second firmware upgrade that has been unusable. Even on 200.14, roaming isn't always the smartest (I think some of it has to do with apple's desire to make devices sticky), but it is at least stable and useable. I was hoping the new firmware would make things better, not way worse. Rolling back now.
Is there a patch that actually works coming soon? It's extremely frustrating that Ruckus devices are having this type of issue, especially given their premium price point. I've used brands that cost a quarter as much as ruckus, and don't have these types of issues. 200.15 was released in the beginning of the month, yet this issue still isn't fixed.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to pitch a product that will cause these types of issues. I wanted set it and forget it networking, and I've had to manage ruckus devices way more than any others.
Please advise
Btw, I have several r650s, and r550, and two r350s
Hi @nevets23 We have fix available which is a QA tested, I have shared the link with you for this file. Please upgrade the APs accordingly and let us know the result.
@sanjay_kumarcan you please share the patch with me as well? I have 3x R750s running 200.14 (rolled back from both versions of 200.15 after iOS device disconnection issues)
Hi @robert_tand I have shared the link.
Is this a newer build than 200.15.6.112.54?
Hi @Squozen Yes, it is the current build which has the fix for the client disconnection issue during roaming and client wake up after sleep mode.
Can I get a link too?
When will be official fix for this issue?
Hi @veno77 I will confirm the ETA for the official fix on Monday.
Hi All,We have an update on the official fix for the below 2 issues, the ETA is 13-05-2024, which is next Monday.1. Apple roaming issue.2. Client re-connection issue during wake up.
Thanks, @sanjay_kumar

Hi, is the roaming issue really solved with 200.15.6.112.54 or better is there still an issue with roaming and wifi calls esspecially with iPhones?I am facing extrem issues with customers iPhones in a 19 AP Unleashed setup. It was working at the end of last year but by doing service we did the last updates and after some time we recognized or better got the info about problems with iPhones maybe Apple devices. I saw the info on known issues and was waiting for updates and the last one is mentioned to solve theseissues. But at the moment roaming for data only seems OK now, but roaming with wifi call seems still an issue. So really all fine for others with the last release?
Hi @CSR Can you open a support case and share the support file to review the complete details?Or you can wait for the new version which is coming in by early next week where we have fixed Apmgr issues. You can try that and then let us know with the support file if you are still facing the issue.
Hi @stefan_mehre The roaming issue has been resolved in the 200.15.6.112.54. Can you explain more on the issue you are facing?Or you can open up a support case as we would be needing some additional info on the issue which will help us to check if it is related to old issue or something new.
Hi sanjay_kumar,that seems to be right for data roaming so browsing, onlinestreaming etc. but my customer is facing wifi calling issues while walking through the house. This was working fine last year and with somethinghappening, maybe one of the firmwareupdates maybe an iPhone update not sure, this got worse. At the moment the customer is facing these issues:- active wifi call at one place is suddenly canceled, looking at the wifi calling protocol in Unleashed shows that the iPhone at that place sometimes changes between 3 APs. Honestly I am wondering that these three APs do have the same strength one is around 100m outdoor behind a big window, one is behind a thick concrete wall and the AP for this place is 20m and behind a thin wood wall. So the decision to choose one of the others seems a little strange to me. And even when that shouldn‘t cancel the wifi call.
- the other issue is while walking through the house with an active wifi call. Yes there are 2 places in the house where the Wifi is not great, but it was working last year and now the calls are canceled at these places.
- the customer sees an issue on the iPhone that the iPhone is searching a phone network while it seems to be connected to the wifi. In the controlcenter were you see the phone provider the iPhone often shows searching and maybe only switching off and on wifi seems to bring back the wifi call connection.
- the customer told me that when a wifi call got canceled he was not able to do the a call after that. Maybe if he got a call from outside the wifi call was working again. Maybe here the iPhone was again searching the phone network. While it was connected to the wifi. The issue seems to be an Apple/iPhone issue because my Android Samsung S21 didn‘t face this issue I did many wifi calls with my phone and my phone to a customer iPhone and my phone was much morestable than the iPhone. There seems even a difference between the newest iPhone of one customer andan older iPhone of his wife. Both on 17.5.1 but different old models.
Switched of different settings on the iPhone wifi support in mobile settings, ip tracking on the SSID of the wifi, wifi calling is on not sure of more.
We have no service contract on this system so I am afraid we can‘t open a case, because I tryed and the service guy did not help.
Hi sanjay_kumar,hmm, my post got los... so once more. Our customer is facing the following issues:1. staying at one place an active wifi call suddenly gets canceled. I checked the wifi calling protokoll for this iPhone and I saw that it switches between 3 accesspoints. Not sure why because one is around 100m behind a window outside and one is behind a concrete wall and the ap for this place is around 15m far behind a wood wall so that one should be the strongest. But beside this the roaming shouldn't cancel the call.
2. sometimes the customer sees that the iPhone searches the phone network but wifi is still connected and wifi call is on. Maybe that's the reason why calls are canceled because if the iPhone loses the "phone network" that would be clear. Here switching off and on wifi on the iPhone could help that the iPhone switches again to wifi call. The customer reported if the call is canceled he can't start a new call. But if somebody calls him from outside after that he can start a call. 3. Wifi call while walking through the house was working last year but something happend in the last months (Unleashed or iPhone update) and now the call gets canceled at some places in the house. But I tryed the roaming with my iPad so I did a ping and walkred through the house and checked if it will break and what times I see. There were 3 places where the ping got 2-3 errors and 1-2places where the ping got to 89ms but normally it was around 7-12ms and without erros. So the normal Dataroaming seems OK I would say, but I would say iPhones or Apple devices do have a roaming issue with active Wifi calls. I checked many settings smart roam on and off, with different values some Wifi Features on and off. The SSID is on 2,4 GHz only at the moment, but tryed 5 GHz only too. On the iPhones IP Tracking is off, Wifi support in mobile settings is off, wifi call is on. What comes to my mind at the moment, I never tryed static IP on the iPhone. We have DHCP IP reservations for alle devices in the network. But like I wrote before wifi for browsing seems OK even while roaming.
