7300 AP Series - Change of country code

Question

I have been offered a couple of AP units from a friend in the US.  I am based in the UK.  I read in the manual that units that are made for the US market cannot have the country code changed.  Is this correct or can a firmware update change this locked setting?

It is correct. They are locked to US only.
