Impact of changing Encryption Method on WLAN
unknown
Hi All,
I want to change the Encryption Method from "WPA-Mixed" to "WPA2" on SCG200 WLANs configuration. Will it have any service impact (service interruption, disconnect and reauthenticate,...) on those devices which are using WPA2?
Thank you,
Meheretab

Main impact is user deconnexion.
If the ssid is the same some client should need to "forget" network and reconnect to it

Even if the SSID is NOT changed, users which were using "WPA2" encryption method will be disconnected (We do NOT have users using WPA). As a result, they need to "forget" the Wireless network and reconnect. Is this a correct statement?

All devices will be disconnected when the change is implemented.
Some devices may need to have the profile for that SSID removed and readded as the saved settings will be invalid.
