Configuring ESXi 6.0 in Direct I/O mode for vSZ-D
unknown
Hello everyone.
We have vSZ-H and vSZ-D running on one host using VMWare ESXi 6.0 Hypervisor.
In host machine there is a 10G NIC with two spf+ ports.
The question is how to assign one of the NIC ports to the VM with vSZ-D in Direct I/O mode.
I have configured the port in advanced settings to passthrough mode and even added it as a PCI device to the VM with vSZ-D.
And that is all.
I dont understand, how to tell the VM that it should use this passthrough device as the Data Interface

I cannot 100% sure verify my opinion however I think this is transparent from VM point of view, you just need appropriate license for VM and set it appropriately the host machine and thats all. Your tunneled traffic is going to flow wired speed
