9.9.0.0 build 216

Question

Hello,

I have a zonedirector 1200 firmware 9.9.0.0 build 216. My AP r500 is version 100.0.0.0.127.
Which of those devices should i upgrade and to which version. Because now the AP's in zonedirector say "Upgrading FIrmware"  only nothing happens.

better you upgrade the R500 AP's to 9.9.0.0 build 216 manually and then apply static ip. Run the command Marting mentioned. You should be good to go

Hi Mic,

First welcome to the Forum.

Your AP the R500 is running what we call standalone firmware that can connect to the SZ/vSZ/SCG and ZD controllers.

If you go into the CLI just type set director x.x.x.x were x.x.x.x is the IP of the Zonedirector, then it will show up in the webinterface of the ZD.
You will need to approve the AP there, and then the AP will get a 9.9.x.x firmware and the AP will be managed via the ZD further.
