i have warehouse 3000 squre meters and 14 meters high.
My idea was to go with zone director zd1200 and nine AP r310.
Any ides for better solution?

And you pretend to put them all on that high? It's seems a lot of omni Ap's in the same place, it will cause lot's of interference especially in 2.4Ghz

Marko,
Warehouses are a great application for Ruckus products. We have implemented many deployments around the world with excellent results.
But I will caution every warehouse is different and the needs of the client can differ greatly from project to project. We typically approach the design with the client needs first and work from there.
What kinds of devices are we providing connectivity for? Where is coverage required? Is latency a concern? Are there client upgrades in the future we should consider in the design? Many variables must be considered. From here, we would advise a site survey. You should validate the system requirements and test actual equipment in the space.
Depending on your environment, you may find an outdoor AP with a controlled antenna pattern would work better to control the coverage and maximize performance. Something like the T301N or T301S would be two examples to consider.
Plan, measure, analyze, deploy, validate. Good luck!

For warehouse i suggest you to use T300 series, because this type is powerfull for warehouse deployment

Hi guys, in this warehous i have a lot of metal racks and the product on the racks are consumer electronics.

green spots are AP

My opinion was to put AP on the roof of warehouse

I need connectivity for PDA devices for warehouse workers.

Do not stack the 6 rows of APs in line with each other. Go left-of-center in row 1, right-of-center in row 2, and alternate, staggering their locations for better coverage.
This design makes it very difficult for client devices to determine which is best AP to connect to.

Marko, any progress on this project ?
I'm interested on what AP did you used, indoor like you mentioned R310 or ooutdoor something like T301.
I'm planning warehouse deployment of Ruckus euqipment, but I'm not sure what AP should I use. Temerature inside warehouse is rarely below -5 on very cold days, I guess indoor AP like R310 can work on this temperatures.

HI Vmiro,
I used indoor AP R310 with Zone director 1200. I placed AP on ceeling(12m high) like
Michael Brado
suggested in earlier reply . I used 9 AP in 3000 square metters.
unknown
Vmiro mozemo i nasrpskom ako ti je lakse
🙂
unknown
Možemo, mada ne bi trebalo zbog ostalih
🙂
I guess winter is yet to come, so you don't have experience with below 0C temperature situation ?
My only concern is temparature range of R310 which is 0 - 40C.
Do you have multiple floor within the warehouse ?
I got two levels with the floor made od metal, and both levels are filled with metal shelves with 3m heigh.
unknown

Hi, I understand the English comments. Vmiro, where you have multiple levels of shelves, consider
indoor APs on the ceilings, strategically placed for coverage, but you might also consider a couple
outdoor sector (30 degree) outdoor APs, at alternate ends of different rows, even a few rows apart,
that might focus RF energy down these aisles, where the racks of materials could block ceiling reach.
unknown
Jesi radio neku prediktivnu analizi i mjerenje sajta ?
unknown
Those are two options, indoor R310s placed on the ceiling on each level, or T301 on the positions like you suggested. The question is: can R310 be used in indoor enviroment where temperature might go down to -5 centigrade ?
Should't I use outdor sector with 120/30 beam width ?
I'm considering a passive site survey with several temporary mounted R510. What software do you recommend ?
Here is the top and front view:
unknown
unknown
Da sa 9. Ja sam u svaki red stavio po 1 AP.

Hi Friends, please translate your conversation on the Forum to English, else it got flagged as possible SPAM and I just approved the posts, thanks.
unknown
Sorry this is my mistake. I thought if we speek serbian, will get things faster to understand.
unknown
I agree, we will continue in English.
So, considering the positions of the shelves, which are quite dense distributed, in an environment where we could have temperatures around -5C, should I risk and use R310 distributedon on each floor, or should I use T301S as Brado suggested?
Also, could anyone suggest site survey software and appropriate hardware?
Years ago I have used Proxim Orinoco Silver and Netstumbler, I'm a bit out of wireless networking now, so any help would be appreciated
😉
