I actually have a mesh of 4 R310 unleashed.
I would like to add a new access point, if possible of bigger size.
Will a R550 be compatible ?

As per your query Unfortunately you can't merge Unleash R310 and R550 together in one network reason being the R310 last supported version is 200.7 and R550 are only supported from 200.9 hence they don't have a software code where both are supported to form a network. For your existing R310 network (which supports max code 200.7) you can chose any of below indoor or outdoor AP's :
Indoor :
C110 H320 H510 M510 R310 R320 R500 R510 R600 R610 R710 R720
Outdoor :
E510T300T300eT301nT301sT310cT310dT310nT310sT610T610sT710T710s
