extremely disappointed reading this.. I have 2x730s and 1x700, both not supporting Unleashed... i hope at some point you will reconsider this decision.
Ruckus R730 a draft version of 802.11ax... actually it's 802.11ax draft 2 and R750, R650, R550 is based on draft 3. Kind of like Ruckus R500 and R600 is 802.11ac wave 1 which is based on 802.11ac draft 3. Ruckus R700 came out almost a year before R500 and R600 so it either did not have enough flash ROM or not enough RAM. That's why it's always not good to buy hardware that's based on draft or until when you know unleashed support has been added.
Note: IEEE finalized 802.11ax just this past February 2021... so all chipsets that came out before then are draft 3 specs or draft 2 specs.
R720 is upgraded to version 20.10. Now the download is 390+, and the upload speed is 800+. Don't know if this is normal
@harvey_li , how are you testing it?
Wow, I cannot believe Unleashed is not available for the "high end" R730. I didn't even consider such a thing before purchasing one to replace my old unsupported R500 (which has been running Unleashed for years!). Very disappointing decision by Ruckus.
Hello @supmang,
R730 APs were announced End of Life for some time now. End of Sale was announced on Feb 2022, sorry to say this, we don't have plans for R730 unleashed code. Refer below document for the list of EOL/EOS products.
