I want to know the maximum number of clients that can be associated to a ZoneFlex7363 and ZoneFlex7762, ZoneDirector puts the default 100, What would be the recommended maximum?

Hello Rosa Martínez Martin,

Starting firmware version 9.3 - ZoneFlex7363 and ZoneFlex7762 can support max upto 256 clients. Please note: 256 is for open WLAN with no security and numbers would reduce if encryption is enabled.

WPA isn't recommended. Max usable clients with WPA or WEP will probably be no more than 50 on moderately loaded network. Use WPA2 or nothing at all.

From personal in-field experience in a outdoor 7762-s mesh environment, we've seen that between 28 to 35 clients per AP is a safe bet (performance and latency) wise. This is obviously dependent on certain environmental factors and little interference (physical, rogue, frequency, etc) in your mesh environment.

On a multiple WLAN setup (on the same AP), with one encrypted and having only 5 clients max, and the other one open, how many clients would I be able to get in the open one?

R300 has lower specs, so it should be the same numbers as the 7363/7962.

R500/R600/R700 should be the same as the 7982/7372 numbers listed above.
