Hey i just got a t610. Is flashing unleashed firmware on it the only way to run
it as a standalone AP ?

You’ll have more functionality with unleashed, but you can run in standalone mode if you want to.  Put a static address on your laptop (for example 192.168.0.20). Cable directly to the AP, browse to 192.168.0.1. Login with    super    sp-admin.  if the AP has been previously managed by a controller, you’ll need to perform a hard reset first.
