I wanted to ask if it is possible to use a ZD1200 with a ZF7782 Ap ? And if so, what firmware could run on both devices? 🙂

ZF7782 is an EOL AP and it is supported on ZD with 10.1.2.0.318 (last version which supports this AP model).

What is the successor to the ZF7782 who would work with the ZD1200 and the old ZF7782 AP ? 😄

Is it the T310s ? Or are there any newer Ap´s

ZoneFlex 7782-N, Dual band outdoor 802.11n 3x3:3 access point, narrow sector coverage (direct replacement not planned, suggested ZoneFlex T301n)
ZoneFlex 7782-S, Dual band outdoor 802.11n 3x3:3 access point, 120-degree sector coverage (replacement = ZoneFlex T710s)
ZoneFlex 7782-E, Dual band outdoor 802.11n 3x3:3 access point, external antenna (replacement not planned, suggested ZoneFlex T300e)

Sorry for so many Questions 😄

In your opinion, would it work in an existing network of 7782 Ap ́s if you extended this and used the T310s Ap for the extension? Starting point is the ZD1200,

and if I use the 10.1.2.0.318 Firmware version it should work with the "old and new" AP´s or did i miss something ? ^^

I would like to hear your opinion about this if it is okay for you 😄

@julian_schaffaff as a best practice, always read release notes of any specific version and it will have most of the answers there.

Please refer the release notes from the below link, it has supported, unsupported AP list and other information about this release.

As pointed by syamantak, you need to look in release notes. If you want still use EOL AP, you are stuck with latest version supporting them (or sometimes with a bit older version, as last doesn' work with this AP very reliably, how it is ZF7982 and 3.6.2 combination -- which results in AP regular hang-ups, you have to use 3.6.1 instead), so you have to llok in release noites which APs are supported with this version. If you have vSZ, you can have zones with different firmware, but there are also limits what can be done, and anyway one zone always have same version on all APs.
