wap suggestions

I live in a 5 floor house with another family, sharing one internet connection.  We presently have a ZD1106 Zone Director and 5 7363 WAPs.  Two questions: 1. Is there any reason to upgrade from this configuration?  (btw I can no longer access the ZD because it has old firmware....) 2. If I have a dead zone, what product might you recommend to add to this configuration?  Thanks!
