what is the best practice to replace ZD1006 with ZD1100-can the configuration
be migrate?-or best to rebuild it from scratch?

Replace ZD because of AP ZF7962 being discontinue on the market

and the replacement model ZF7982 not compatible with ZD1006 due to Firmware limitation.

You can backup the ZD1000 config and restore it to the ZD1100. Just make sure the ZD1100 is running the same firmware level as the ZD1000 (and upgrade afterwards). This worked for me upgrading from ZD1000 to ZD1100 to ZD3000.
