vSZ on ESXi. Switching vmware hdd to independent non-persistent.
unknown
We have vSZ installed on ESXi Intel NUC in facility where power outages happen quite often.
The problem is that virtual HDD is getting corrupt in this case and vSZ wouldnt start until someone logs in to ESXi and use vmkfstools to fix it.
Now VMware has a specific independent non-persistent mode for HDD where everything written by virtual machine to its disk is not saved when in restarts next time, so it will not be corrupt no matter what and will restart on its own.
So the question is folowing:
does established for a few weeks VSz actually write anything valuable to its disk that worth keeping or I will loose nothing if its is beeing reverted to its original state say every two weeks?
Thnx.
