What is the use of second Ethernet port on the Zone Director 1200? Can I setup
a backup line on the second port?

I have two input data lines from the ISP acting as primary line and secondary line acting as backup. The Zone Director is connected to the Primary network through ethernet port 1 on the ZD and 3 AP's are deployed. What is the ethernet Port 2 used for? Can I connect the Secondary network to port 2 so as to configure a backup network?

The two switch ports on any Zone Director are switch ports. If you would like to load balance or automatically switch over from a failed line you will need a router.
