Can I take my ZD3000 back-up and migrate over to my New ZD1200?
If so what are the steps?

Just make sure both the controllers are on same firmware version, else backup file will not work on new controller.

Hello, we have a ZD 3050 and just bought a ZD 1200, both have the same firmware 10.0.1.0 build 90, but when I make a backup from a ZD 3050 and want to upload it in, ZD 1200 says:
The bakcup file that you are trying to upload is incompatible with the curent software version
we are also facing the same issue. Did anyone have solution for this issue?

I think I have missed a major point.
ZD migration is only supported when you upgrade from a lower hardware model to higher one. This ensures that ZD hardware has enough hardware power to handle the load.
You can upload the configuration from a “smaller” ZD into a larger one – ZD1100 into ZD1200, ZD1100/ZD1200 into ZD3000 or ZD5000, ZD3000 into ZD5000 … this permits all configured devices space to be configured.
