SmartZone 100 Guest Portal
unknown
Hello,
I'm looking for solutions to create a captive portal for my guest network so that people can register for temporary internet access while on my school sites. From what I've been reading this is achievable by creating a portal on a separate web server and then integrating into my SmartZone 100. I have, unfortunately, been completely unsuccessful in finding any type of guides or walkthroughs for this setup. Do they exist? Is this still possible?

Hi Vincent,
The SmartZone OS has built-in full captive portal functionality, which may be all you need!
Check out the online user guide. The following link will take you straight to the SmartZone portal-based WLAN configuration section:

I hope that helps,
Darrel.

Thank you, Darrel. To confirm - I will need a 3rd party Captive Portal to allow guest registration, correct? I am only seeing an option for a pre-created guest pass natively on the SmartZone.

Hi Vincent,
Apologies for the delay in responding.
Yes, to confirm; you will need a separate solution to provide full guest self-registration captive portal on SmartZone.
Ideally Ruckus CloudPath would be utilised for this functionality:

Best,
Darrel.
