Firmware update

Currently I am using Firmware 8.0.1.0 build 13 for my ZD1000 and AP ZF2942

Can I updgrade the AP firmware to 9.xx without upgrade ZD's firmware?

Nope.

If you upgrade the AP the ZD will downgrade it to 8 when you reconnect.
