Cannot establish Connectivity between ZD & APs

Question

I have a ZD1200.R500 & 7055 connected with POE Switch.But Access Point doesn't associating with ZD.Connectivity is ok.ZD and  APs are same subnet ??

How is the IP addressing assigned? Statically or DHCP? What Software level on the ZD? L2 discovery of ZD should be automatic if DHCP assigned. Never done static address on same L2 network so not sure if you have to manually set ZD address if static.
