Ruckus t710 as t310 replacement -would it be benefit?
unknown
I have ruckus unleashed deployment in country house. i have fiber internet and cable to my garage.
on street wall there is Ruckus T310d.
and in main house (15 meters) + 1meter brick wall - 2 ruckus r710 for clients.
Internet channel currently 100mbit, but i'd like to increase to 300.
Currently averange number of devices for unleashed -20. including smartphones, tablets, notebooks, tv, fire tv 4k etc....
10 people in self-isolation.
My question is - if i replace T310d to R710 will my connection speed on wireless mesh bridge increase?
currently i have ~130-150mbit between devices and radio quality 21.
if i replace T310d with R710 would it benefit connection speed? or anyway mesh utilize only 1 channel?
Coverage on street is fine with t310d.. i need speed.

Hi Anton,
R710 is a 4X4:4 AP and T310d is 2x2:2, means R720 has 4 TX, 4 RX chains and can support upto 4 spatial streams, means higher data rates (assuming R710 will mesh with R710).
But please note that R710 is a indoor AP and R310d is outdoor, so make sure an indoor AP do not expose to outdoor environment else it may cause issues with hardware (rain, high/low temperature, etc.).

thank you for a reply!
or couse, i will use outdoor T710 version.
My question is - will my backdoor mesh network utilize 1 stream, and 3 streams for clients, or, for example it can utilize 2 or 3 stream and 2 or 1 for client?

Hi Anton,
My response was based on the details given by you and you have mentioned "R710".
Yes, if T710 is meshing with R710 or a 4x4:4 AP (both should be getting full power to enable all 4 chains and high throughput) then mesh link will get higher throughput and client behind it will also get high throughput.
Use of RX/TX chains depends upon multiple factors like client supportability, compatibility, multipath, etc.
