Zone Director 1100 firmware upgrade path to 9.10.2

Question

Hi,I need to upgrade a Zone Director 1100 from firmware: 9.8.3.0 build 14 to 9.10.2.0.63 (MR2 Refresh4).  I cannot find a suitable upgrade path of versions that is officially supported.Can anyone offer some assistance.Thank you.

Officially Supported 9.9.1 Upgrade Paths

The following ZoneDirector builds can be directly upgraded to ZoneDirector build
9.9.1.0.31:

9.7.2.0.9 (9.7 MR 2)

9.8.0.0.373 (9.8 GA)

9.8.1.0.99/101 (9.8 MR 1)

9.8.2.0.15 (9.8 MR 2)

9.9.0.0.205 (9.9 GA)

9.9.0.0.212 (9.9 GA refresh 1)

9.9.0.0.216 (9.9 GA refresh 2)

If you are running an earlier version, you must first upgrade to one of the above
builds before upgrading to this release.

NOTE: The upgrade path from 9.9.1 to 9.10 is not recommended due to the fact
that the 9.10 release date occurred before 9.9.1 and therefore 9.9.1 includes bug
fixes that are not in the 9.10 code.

As you are running a later version of the 9.8.x code (MR3), then you can upgrade directly to 9.9.1.  I suspect the release notes for 9.9.1. were written prior to the release of 9.8.3.Always ensure you take a config backup prior to performing an upgrade.Regards,Darrel.

Thank you but I cannot find a suitable upgrade path from 9.8.3.0 to any supported 9.9 version. This is what I require help with. Also, 9.9.0.205 is not available for me to download.

Hi,This information is detailed in the release notes for each version.Release notes for 9.10.2 can be found here:  https://support.ruckuswireless.com/documents/2401-zonedirector-9-10-2-mr2-refresh4-release-notesThe earliest version you can upgrade from is 9.9.0.0.205 (9.9 GA release).  So you will need to download the firmware file and release notes for 9.9.0 to check you can upgrade directly to that version from you current 9.8.3 version.I hope that helps,Darrel.
