No its not possible, please read the update documentation of 3.4 there you will find the version which you need for upgrading to 3.4.
when i remember right you need something above 3.2

Correct, to be more exact, please check the Release Notes of the 3.4.x version you want to go to.
In there you can see from which version you can upgrade. Then check that Release Notes also to verify you can go from your current version to this version.
