how to configure port on R710 as WAN?

Question

Unable to connect a R710 to the internet connecting directly to a end user fibre modem.

It states connected to the internet but the ip address dynamically obtained is a private address.

Does it work if you connect a PC/laptop directly into the fibre modem?
Does your ISP provide an internal router to use with their fibre modem?
The router will connect WAN port to fibre modem, and provide NAT translated LAN (and maybe WLAN) to inside home.
