When statically configuring bandwidth, will the lower bandwidths still be supported?

For example if i configure 40MHz,
will 20MHz only clients still be allowed on the WLAN? 80MHz will no
longer be used in this case?

Yes, lower bandwidth clients are still supported, but not higher.
