Do P300/7311 Point to Point Bridges Need a Controller?
unknown
I have been tasked with finding a solution to connect two buildings with a point-to-point wireless bridge, and I came across these two devices. My question is, do they operate independent of the ZD, or is one required in the topology? I have found some drawings online that describe the topology for these devices that includes a ZD, but whether or not the ZD is required is unclear. There also is information pointing at the "ZoneFlex" product for managing these, but again, it is unclear from my reading how these devices need to be set up.
Any info is appreciated.

Not required...
Very easy setup process. Very solid performance.

Not required, and even not supported for the P300. They're basically like invisible ethernet cords in the sky, and don't need any active management/configuration/administration after initial setup (described in the manual)

Bridge Aps are only worked Standalone mode.

Standalone mode or via Flexmaster

looking the URL below, there are "plans" to have P300 being managed by a controller/SZ too.
