Ruckus ICX7150 stuck or broken?

AdventC

No power to APs, dont think we had a power surge but it looks like the most possible circumstance.

Ive tried everything, most tutorials are saying to connect via IP, which I cant because when I scan I dont see the switch on the network even though its connected as always.

When I try and connect via serial, I was able to get into CLI but instead of ICX7150-Router> in the command it says ICX7150-Boot> and doesnt allow commands like enable, show inline power, etc. Just allows me to do things like printenv and whatnot.

Tried setting up TCPT server or whatever and cant get it to connect. Heard it was because i needed to factory reset first, and I did the thing where I hold down the reset when plugging in power so it blinks all amber, but it now just blinks amber indefinitely (its been over an hour). Also the Putty says the following while doing that:

Booted from partition 2

For the love of god, help or send me a new one or a technician who can help!

are there still technical support specialists here?

I was able to get the switch to work by loading in new firmware and then updating to 08090juni but now i have an issue with the ethernet being extremely unstable. Wireless seems so-so, but before this switch went all haywire i was gaming with no issues at all, and now i can barely load up without the internet completely disconnecting me. Can someone help? I have yet to hear on multiple threads from any support specialists at all...

Hi @AdventC

Hi Imran,

Thank you for replying! Before I show output below, i want to mention my latest development when I am connected to ETHERNET. I noticed that for whatever reason, ONLY when I start to try and play a game (such as Valorant or League of Legends), when the game tries to boot up a map and start a game, the ENTIRE internet in the house goes down, including all wifi. It is bizarre. I disabled all my pc firewalls and that hasnt helped, but i think the switch is maybe getting overwhelmed or something and maybe rebooting or just cutting the connection entirely. I should also mention that i cannot login to the switch via web GUI because username and pw dont work (i tried super and sp-admin, nothing works) and unleashed cannot add it to the unleashed network, it just says "pending".

output is below:

telnet@ICX7150-C12-Switch>enable

Hi @AdventC

Thank you for the response and the detailed information you shared.

As I can see from the output you shared, your Switch is Upgraded to the latest version SPS08095j.

And as Switch is showing pending in the Unleashed, please make sure management approval is enabled in the Unleashed system as described in the below guide. Once it is enabled, please reboot your Switch.

https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/unleashed-200.9-onlinehelp/page/GUID-A887C55E-6973-4496-9413-302E8...

And as you are unable to login to the Switch GUI please reset your Switch credentials as described below and note it for future reference.

If any of the username and password does not work, you could reset them on Telnet CLI login:

Now again reset your new credentials as mentioned in the steps below:

Edit the current or create a new password and username by using the below commands:

enable

configure terminal

device(config)# username super password pass

Where the username is ’super’ and password ‘pass’ (You could choose any of your choices)

In order to allow the correct authentication please run the following commands:

 Device(config)#crypto key generate rsa

device(config)# aaa authentication login default local

The credentials (username and password) will take some time to sync up with the Switch after performing the above steps and later you can try login using your new Switch credentials.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Imran Sanadi
