Hello,

I would like to follow up on this topic. I am getting stuck on the network driver part. I added the ip addresses just like the instruction says and I added the ip addresses to the switch. For some reason, when I ping it is not receiving a response, hench "not alive." May I please get your help?

Figured it out. Windows Defender was blocking all incoming traffic. Turned it off and ping test is now 'alive'

Hi @ranlagrand

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that you are getting a ‘not alive’ error when trying to perform Software Recovery on the Switch which is stuck on boot mode.

Yes, as you already did and mentioned the Microsoft Defender (Firewall) must be put into a disabled state to make the ping alive. (Please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article just for your reference)
