i have checked optic status on the interface as below

SSH@WL_P1_D4-4WH-FA_L3-B7450_2.30>sh optic 1/1/6
Port   Temperature    Voltage       Tx Power      Rx Power    Tx Bias Current
+-----+-------------+-------------+-------------+-------------+---------------+
1/1/6   35.5429 C    3.2895 volts  -6.5560 dBm      N/A        16.072 mA

Hey Pradeep,

SFPs have the capability of monitoring a number of internal physical parameters that inform about the status of the device and the light link.
SFPs have the capability of monitoring a number of internal physical parameters that inform about the status of the device and the light link. The command "show optic" shows the different values as measured real time at the SFP.
These values are compared against an internal alarm setting as set by the manufacturer, and in case the warning or alarm limits are reached, an alarm flag will be set.
When optical monitoring is enabled in the device, the router will periodically monitor these flags, and when there is an issue, it will be reported in the Syslog.

Sometimes it can also be due to dust on the cables/patch panel.

-Are you having any connectivity problems due to this message?
-How long has it  been in service?
-Can you paste output of "skip","show interface eth 1/1/6" (3 times 20 seconds apart)  "show log", "show version",  "show media", "page".

HI sir,
thanks for reply,
Connectivity from brocade to that access switch is ok, today again i took sh optic eth1/1/6

SSH@WL_P1_D4-4WH-FA_L3-B7450_2.30#sh optic 1/1/6
Port   Temperature    Voltage       Tx Power      Rx Power    Tx Bias Current

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as per yesterday's log Rx Power value was NA, and today it showing something
it become confusing to what to check

should i change the both ends OFC patch cord ?
should i change SFP module ?
or anything else to do.

i have also captured access switch up-link port state as below

Hey Pradeep,

The version of code looks good so related defect is ruled out.

I see you have similar optics on other ports.

I see no errors or high utilizations on the port 1/1/6.

Optical signal looks good too.

We need to check the opposite side of 1/1/6 as 1/1/6 is complaining about receiving low power from other end of 1/1/6.
Try to remove the Optic module on other end of 1/1/6 and reinsert it.  See if issue is gone, if not then,
please clean the optics/fibers, on both ends. If issue persists then:

Please try to use known good cable, I see other ports with same optics. We can flip flop a port and see what port the problem follows and eliminate the bad cable or optic.

I hope this helps, if not please open a ticket and provide the steps we have taken so far to avoid redundant troubleshooting.

Best Regards
Thanks
Hashim

Hi Sir,

inspite of error cleared itself
I have cleaned the dust and swapped the SFP to cross check whether its SFP or OPTIC cable issue , i hope one of port will pop up the error if there is an issue.

Thanks for your time and help.
