Ruckus icx 7150-c12p slow after power outage

Eddie

Posting again under the Lennar Homes section.

My Ruckus switch is slow after a recent power outage. Finding help to fix this has been extremely frustrating. And all "solutions" on these "help" pages require downloading software to then track down IP addresses and start entering code. There HAS to be a fix for the average Lennar home owner. Send me a new one that works properly. I do know how to send and receive items in the mail. But plugging into the box with a cat6 cable and entering code is not my bag. We're going on a week now with the disabled internet.

Please provide an easy solution.

Thanks Grant. Imran's suggestion was a copy paste from another request with the same issue, which I had already found. They will be rapid firing these out to Lennar home owners every time this issue pops up. I will try your suggestion before going through the lengthy process listed by Imran.

Nope, nothing. Still stuck in slow mode. Looks like I have to take a shot at Imran's method above. I wonder if it breaks while attempting they will then send me a new one? Everyone else seems to be getting new ones which fixes their issue immediately.

Hi @Eddie

I understand that the steps may be somewhat new, also we have tried to create the guides as non-technical as possible, so that they are not difficult to follow;

However, we cannot replace the chassis until you confirm that the hardware is damaged.

Also due the power outage the switch starts running the wrong code which we call ‘routing code’ is not an hardware issue, which can be solved by following the below steps.

Please try to follow the below guides and let us know while facing any difficulties while following the guides.

Note:  if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch, since you will have a better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

  1. After fixing the issue of the Switch booting from the wrong partition, please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions primary and secondary with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin, take into consideration that is the Switch is running a code lower than 08080 you need to upgrade twice, from the code you are to 08080f and then the recommended code 08095g UFI.

However, if you continue to have difficulty following the steps, I would recommend that you seek outside help or a technician.
