topic Hotspot web redirection in ZoneDirector

Hi all,

how does it actually work? I mean, in a hotspot environment, user connects to a specific wlan. ZD director knows it is non-authenticated and it is redirected to a login page. How is this redirection done? I try to sniff packets from the client side and see how redirection is done by the ZD... what happens when they are in different subnets without routing each other?

Regards,
