Do I need to upload support entitlement to zd1200?

Hi,

I would like to know is there a need to download and upload support entitlement to zd1200 or zd1200 will check for entitlement when it is connected to internet automatically?

Hi Alan,

Yes, the entitlement file has to be downloaded from support site to restore the support entitlement info on the ZD else you would not be able to upgrade the ZD to latest version.

If you are not worried about it and if your current system is working fine them you can ignore that.

This would also helps you to keep track of device's warranty info.

Currently, I am using check entitlement from zd1200 support tab to check entitlement and it show licensed. Is it true that the zd1200 will check entitlement info by itself.?

Hi Alan,

No, ZD will not check the entitlement automatically, it had to be added to the ZD manually.
