Hi Pavan,

Below is the upgrade path to be followed:

9.13 --> 10.1.1.0.42 >> 10.2.1.0.183

Please ensure the below steps to be taken care while upgrading so that the ZD will not lose the configuration. I have also provided the software file links to download.

1. Take the backup of the existing configuration.
2. Upgrade the software on the ZD.
3. Once the ZD is upgraded please wait until the APs upgrade.
4. Ensure that all the APs are connected back to the ZD with the same version before upgrading to the next version.
5. Ensure to take the backup on each version before upgrading to the next version just in case.

Note:
Please make sure to check the release notes to understand the supported AP models before upgrading.

thanks for the support , unfortunatly we had H510 APs in the network and after the upgrade they got disconnected , can you suggest any idea to how to bring them back..

Hi Pavan,

H510 is supported in the 10.2.1 release, can you login to the AP CLI and check if it is upgraded or not?

get version : to check the version.
get director : will tell the connection status to the ZD.

If the AP is not upgraded then we might need to upgrade manually.

Hi Sanjay ,

The APs were not upgraded , now once if we reset and gave a IP and set controller IP but it is not picking or H510 is not getting upgrading even after reboot.

Kindly let me know what steps further can we do.

Hi Sanjay ,

We checked APs are not upgraded and once we reset and the APs and gave set controller ip ,but still they are not picking up controller and APS and Controller are in the same segment.

now do we integrate the APs with the controller.

Hi Pavan,

Looks like, the AP is unable to upgrade due to older version.
Try the below step on one AP and see if that works.

1. Reset the AP.
2. Upgrade the AP to the 114 version from the below link.
3. Set the controller IP and see if it works.

Is that the same with H500 AP also ,what would the firmware for H500 APs

Since another 2 APs are H500.

Hi Pavan,

H500 is not supported in the 10.2.1 release, it has been discontinued.

H500 discontinued from 10.2 version. If you want to manage H500 in this ZD3000, then downgrading to below 10.2 is the only option.
