SIP URL parameter doesn't contain IP address

I am trying to create a captive portal login page, the documentation states that the 'sip' GET URL variable should contain the ZD IP address, but mine contain 'scg.ruckuswireless.com', which just provides a 404.

Am I missing something here, or should this variable contain the IP for the ZD?

can you confirm what controller you are using and what firmware version?

Ok and can you confirm what you have configured on the controller? Guest Access or Hotspot Service?

Ok, good. And to confirm, you are creating an external captive portal for user authentication? When you say 'the documentation' what are you referring to? The Hotspot WISPr reference Guide?

Ok but you are not using a zone director you are using a SmartZone. Its completely different. You need to review the WISPr section of the admin guide and the manual 'Hotspot WISPr reference guide' found here https://support.ruckuswireless.com/products/77-smartzone-100
