Migrating from an 1100 ZD to a 3000, any guidance on how to move the configuration?

Hey there,

We are moving up to a ZD 3100 from a ZD 1150 and I'm looking for any and all documentation on how to get migrated. I'm assuming I need to have the ZD's on the same firmware before moving?

Hi Linda,

You've got it right - if they are on the same version you can restore the ZD1150 backup to the ZD3000 (you can't go the other direction however..)

Hi all-

I am in a similar boat except that I am looking to upgrade from a ZD1000 running 9.3.2.0 build 3, to a ZD3000.

Would I just need to back-rev the 3000 to the same firmware, restore the backup from the 1000, then follow the upgrade path to get my firmware up to date?

That should do it, and you're correct to perform the upgrade on the ZD3000 v the ZD1000 since it (ZD1000) can only go to version 9.3.
