A good solution free solution for a captive portal

Hello i want to setup a solution for a free captive portal server for a simple landing page without password. I'm thinking in testing CoovaChilli with JRadius . Does anyone here use this solution? Or have a better suggestion ?

Hi,

We are using ironwifi.com integrated with Ruckus zoneDirector. Do you need to use Radius Server too?
In Iron WIFI all is integrated and works fine with Ruckus, but it is free only up to 10 users.

Hello, i didn't know ironwifi but the limit of 10 users it's impossible to me, i want to use in temporary venues and events for about 1000 users average per event. I don't need the radius server could be a pre-loaded credentials in the html code of the landing page.

I think that you need to register each user in Ruckus Local Database or some Radius in the landing page. Consider this steps:

1. User connect to hotspot.
2. User is redirected to landing page (Iron or another Captive Portal)
3. User register by clicking on a link or by entering user and password.
4. User is authenticated on Iron and then authenticated on Ruckus. (Iron or another Captive Portal resolve this)
5. User has Internet Access.

We use IronWifi for our hijacks, and it works fine and well. Supports proper WISPr hijack now too. Costs $10 per active AP per month. Would recommend it, very flexible system, and reliable.

Iron-Wifi is best it supports all the Vendors in market, you name and it is supported on Iron-WiFi and their support is one of the best, they have a very flexible pricing as well.
