upgrade issue in zd1100 with 9.5.1.0!!

Hi.

I have problem F/W upgrading in zd1100.

From 9.5.1.0 to above(everthing), zd1100 is freezing.

Let me know ugrade procedure and issue reason.

What do you mean by ZD1100 is freezing?
what happens when it freezes? what tells that it freezed? what is status of LED's on the device?

upgrade procedure is upgrading via correct path and take back up at every level (before and after). Read release notes (this is important).

important: once you push the upgrade button, Please be patient and take a 20 minutes coffee break. If all done correct then once you are back your ZD1100 would be upgraded.

Hi.

Only ping to ZD ip, all connect does not works.(such as ssh, https, etc)

And I wait for over 1hours, but zd does not reboot, not work, and flashing red

status LED.

I saw all RN, and try to upgrade.

Upgrade versions tried are 9.7, 9.6, 9.8, 9.5.

ZD1100 might take a little while to upgrade (blinking red means loading FW image, before reboot).

That said, it should not take over 30 minutes... Please power cycle and repeat the upgrade attempt.

I was finally able to get it upgraded. Here's the steps I had to take to get it to work. I had to reflash 9.5 because the firmware somehow gets corrupted when I powercycle it during a failed attempt to flash.

Factory Reset ZD1100
Run through the setup giving an IP
Flashed 9.5 while ZD is off the network
Connect ZD back to the network. Let APs join the ZD and get the fixed firmware
Factory reset ZD1100 again
Run through the setup giving an IP
Flash 9.7 while ZD is off the network
Connect back to the network. Let APs join the ZD and get the new firmware
Manually setup all the WLANS and settings.

The only time the upgrade flash seemed to work was right after a factory reset. It would always sit at 0% upgraded for at least an hour before I would finally kill the power on the ZD, unless I factory reset the ZD and then attempt the upgrade. We'll probably upgrade to the ZD1200 sometime next year, but we needed to be on 9.7 to get a couple of R300 APs connected.
