    <description>Hi Michael,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you for your reply.&amp;nbsp;A question: Are you able to use DNS when actually not authenticated to the network?Please see below a PCAP from the client&amp;nbsp;side for the google.co.uk request.       <title>Captive portal redirection issue</title>

      <description>Client connected to the SSID, gets the DHCP config but no captive portal redirection for the username/password, hence no internet access. Manually typing the url&amp;nbsp;of the captive portal/ZD works fine.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any ideas?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers</description>

      <description>Check the DNS on that client VLAN...&amp;nbsp; can you do an 'nslookup &lt;A href="http://www.yahoo.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;www.yahoo.com&lt;/A&gt;' from a command prompt?</description>

      <description>Hi Michael,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steps l have done:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) Connected to the SSID&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;2) open the web-browser, waiting for the redirection page ( timing out)&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;3) Frome the client side using nslookup checking the DNS resolution for the cisco.com and captive portal url page, getting the response.       <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Raised the case with Ruckus. Resolution below:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- the controller was previous running on 9.6 version and now running on 9.8 version. There is a known software bug on the ZD which are upgraded from 9.6 to 9.8. &lt;BR /&gt;- TAC engineer went into the ZD shell mode and applied the fix on the necessary files (added missing firewall rules)&lt;BR /&gt;- &amp;nbsp;rebooted the controller&lt;BR /&gt;- redirection started working&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you all for your input on this.</description>
