R550 Signal strength coming in waves

I have an R550 AP that will not hold a steady wifi signal. I have tried multiple locations and get the same issue with it. It will vary from .2 mbps to 600 mbps within a 60 second period. I have updated it to the latest firmware. Any other things to check or ways to diagnose the issue? Thanks for any and all suggestions!

An unstable WiFi signal on an R550 AP could be caused by interference, power settings, or configuration issues. Ensure proper channel selection to avoid interference, check the transmit power levels, and confirm QoS settings. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset and reconfigure the AP. brawl

That sounds frustrating! Since you’ve already updated the NJMCDirect firmware and tried different locations, I’d suggest checking for interference, adjusting channel settings manually, and testing with a different power source or PoE injector. Also, try disabling 802.11r/k/v if enabled, as they can sometimes cause instability. Worth checking client device drivers too.
