R510 compatible with Unleashed 200.16 firmware version?

Just a question if I can upgrade my R510 with the 200.16 firmware?
R510 should be "end of life" so not sure if 200.16 is compatible with the R510.

As many explained R550 and R510 should be very similar on the HW based...

Please if someone can explain this into more details...

No, the docs state clearly that 200.16 is only supported on the x50 and newer models. Click on 'Introducing Ruckus Unleashed -> Supported Access Points'.

And to cast aside any doubt, 'end of life' in an enterprise product means that it will no longer be supported with software updates (outside rare cases where not fixing a security issue in a widely-used product would cause significant PR trouble for the vendor).

So if I understand You correctly... I can only expect some updates under the version 200.15. if and when the security issue is just to severe ?

So what do You recommend to do ... I have 4x R510 bought few Years ago...
You think I will be good on long term (2-3 Years longer.. ) ?

Is there is an option to switch to some other compatible image on existing devices (e.g. R350,...) ?

Any advise would be appriciated

My advice is that if these APs are in use in your home, keep using them until you want something faster and then replace them. In a corporate environment you should be under a maintenance contract so that it’s not your job on the line if your equipment fails.

I would not try and hack another firmware onto equipment that it wasn’t designed for. This is network equipment. It is your infrastructure. It needs to be rock solid. If you really want 200.16 (why?) then buy some newer APs.
