hi admin...i already upgrade ruckus R310 firmware to unleashed ver200.7.10.202.145...but i cannot enter the dns server for controller virtual smartzone..pls help

I believe there may be some confusion regarding the technologies. Unleashed is a lightweight wireless network where one access point acts as the master, while the others function as members that receive their configuration from the master.

However, SmartZone is a controller, whether physical or virtual, capable of managing multiple APs and offering significantly more features than Unleashed. It also provides greater flexibility in terms of network setups.

Unleashed and SmartZone are different technologies with distinct use cases, making them incompatible with each other. To integrate Unleashed APs into a SmartZone controller-managed network, they must first be converted to standalone firmware version and then configured using the 'set scg ip' command to point to the SmartZone controller's address.

hi Fernando Vasquez ..thank you for reply...as picture below..i already success add the scg ip on ap....but it cannot appeared on controller staging zone...BUT OTHER AP CAN APPEARED ON CONTROLLER..pls help

hello admin....the ap can ping to the controller...thats why i a bit weird still cannot enter staging zone for the ap

Please check that the AP is set on the same countrycode as the other APs

get countrycode

You can also use the following command to view the current logs on the AP.

get syslog log

I recommend changing the IP address of the AP to avoid any conflicts with the default one

I recommend filing a case in case the AP still not appeared in the SZ
