200.15.6.12.304 Apple devices connectivity issues

Since upgrading to 200.15.6.12.304, Apply devices (laptops, phones etc) won't occasionally to the network, 2xH550 and 1xR650. When it happens, the OS shows as "connected" but it fails at DHCP, DHCP is external to Ruckus with short (5 min leases). Never had this issue before, reverting to 200.14.6.1.203 fixes it.

I have seen similar issue's using unleashed version 200.15.6.12.304 on the R750 with apple devices. It looks in my case an issue regarding roaming the client from one AP to another. It sometimes cannot connect or it stays connected but there is no IP traffic and you cannot browse a website for example. Toggle wifi off and om will fix it. Seen it on macbook and iphones.

I've logged a bug with Homepod Minis and Apple Watches not connecting at all on the new version. Until they resolve it, stick to 200.14.

We are working on this issue inhouse.
Can everyone confirm if you disable 802.11r and still facing the issue?

The fix is in 200.15 MR release which will be out in early April.

Thanks @lllamas, Some of the customers confirmed that the workaround is working.

For any customers if you still face the issue even after disabling 802.11r, then the issue could be something else and I request you to open a support case so that we can troubleshoot the issue.

Why didn’t the update get rolled back? These changes cannot be done easily by the average person unless you call out the company that installed it. You can’t ever provide support to me to help with it. To have such an effect on the largest phone manufacturer, I am surprised I have to wait to April to fix this. Wish I never updated! Would have thought it makes things better not inoperable!

can anyone tell me how you disable it? I am a customer and only have the unleashed app on my iphone. How do you log into the portal to disable this?

Hi @Sandeepmander
You need to disable this option from the Computer\Laptop browser, try the below steps if you are aware of the login credentials:
1. From your Application >> See the AP details and find out its IP address >>
2. From the Laptop >> Connect to the SSID >> Open the Browser >> Type the IP address of the AP "https://192.168.0.1".
3. Go to "Wifi-Networks" Tab >> Select the SSID (In my case "Ruckus Wireless 1" >> Click on Edit >> Go to Advanced settings >> Radio Control >> You can see the option for 802.11 r

Thank you Sanjay for the detailed explanation. For some reason, https://192.168.0.1 never connected from my laptop and I saw this URL - //unleashed.ruckuswireless.com on a youtube video and that worked and got me into the portal. Before your explanation, I was able to implement my own fix by going to "administration" in the online portal, then to "upgrade" and from there I was able to see the previous version which I downgraded to. That worked for me, so I will not wait to the next update in April to update straight to that (maybe give it a few weeks to see if anyone is having issues with the new update!) Thanks again!

It was Buggy for me too on the R750. I had it on 200.14 and worked great. But once upgraded, it randomly stops working, won’t display traffic on graphs. Very frustrating, but I did revert back and everything has been good. Although I am looking forward to the patch.

Right! It was a headache to get it back going. I didn’t save my current config. ( I did now though ) But I am definitely going to wait as you said, before hitting update. But I’m glad to see they are working on it, and quickly too.
