      <description>Is there a more thorough factory reset procedure than going to Administer -&amp;gt; Backup and Restore -&amp;gt; Restore to Factory Settings?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm asking because after going through the above procedure, my supportinfo log files downloaded after the Factory Restore are still full of info from before the restore (e.g., list of AP Reboot Reason that goes back two years).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;</description>

      <description>I assume I have to do it on the Master AP? I did try the button on a mesh AP, which made it go through a cycle that looked like it got re-added to the mesh, but once it was back, all logs from it were also back with all pre-reset messages.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The motivation is the issue I'm still having (&lt;A href="https://forums.ruckuswireless.com/ruckuswireless/topics/200-5-10-0-291-doesnt-fix-the-packet-loss-for-stations-connected-to-map" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://forums.ruckuswireless.com/ruckuswireless/topics/200-5-10-0-291-doesnt-fix-the-packet-loss-for-stations-connected-to-map"&gt;https://forums.ruckuswireless.com/ruckuswireless/topics/200-5-10-0-291-doesnt-fix-the-packet-loss-fo...&lt;/A&gt;) that led to an RMA of my MAP, but that didn't solve the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I bit the bullet and did factory reset this morning (the "soft" way), which didn't improve things at all, and appears to have made them worse.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Will try the button, then will try swapping which AP is the Master.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Last resort - will probably go back to 200.4.x.</description>

      <description>If you use the hard reset on a AP, regardless of its role, it will be reset factory settings. So, if you do it on Master AP then it will be reset. However, if you have another Ethernet connected AP in the network then that AP will take over as Master. This means that as soon as original Master AP that is already factory-reset by will join automatically assuming it is still Ethernet connected.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In your specific case, as you have only one RAP which is also the Master AP, once you factory-reset it using push-pin then you need to go through the setup process.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope it helps!</description>

      <description>Nat,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the info.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just did the hard reset on the Master (MAP was powered off). Ran the initial setup; once it was up, connected and downloaded supportinfo. Well, the "### AP Boot Reason ###" still lists everything back to 2016, as well as "### Himem Ring Buffer 1 ###" and "### RSM Log ###" logs that go back a fair way, too. &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just to confirm - during hard-reset of the Master/MAP there were no other APs, and I don't have a ZoneDirector or Cloud Wi-Fi.</description>

      <description>That's strange. I hope you held on to that push-pin for ~10 seconds when you did the hard reset. If not, I would strongly recommend doing it. I have reset several APs with hard reset but haven't encountered this issue at all.&amp;nbsp;</description>

      <description>Yes, I held the button for well over 10 seconds, and the system came up as unconfigured (so clearly has reset). I also did [remote_ap_cli&amp;nbsp; -A&amp;nbsp; "set factory"] that reported:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Factory defaults will take effect after reboot&lt;BR /&gt;OK&lt;BR /&gt;---- Command Execution Summary: &lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; success: 1&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; failure: 0&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; total: 1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And even [ruckus# set-factory] &lt;BR /&gt;Are you sure you want to restore Unleashed(and your network) to the default state[Y/n]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To no avail - the logs I mentioned are still there (and yes, every time I had to go through the initial Unleashed set-up to create everything from scratch).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Back to the original issue - I even swapped the RAP and MAP (set up old MAP as new RAP/Master). The problem with connectivity going bad (as per original post I linked above) is still there, and much more severe than it used to be.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyway, I'm down to two last options:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Downgrade to 200.4.x, and if that fails (which I hope doesn't - it used to work fine!)&lt;BR /&gt;- start drilling holes in my house to run the cable to the second AP and ditch the mesh.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think it’s not a real problem, set factory AP only reset all
configuration(backup.bak) file to default value, AP sill keep some information like
AP reboot reason, rsm log and so on after set factory reboot. &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;To verify if &amp;nbsp;AP set factory success
or not,&amp;nbsp; user can follow below items:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;If config-me
wlan is up or not&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the CLI
login username/password is changed to be super/sp-admin or not&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;If service
wlan are all down and reset to default value or not &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>
