Ruckus R600. Once configured can it run wireless ?

Hi,

I have a collegue who wants to buy and setup a mesh system using unleashed on a set of R600's.

However they cannot run the wire to the AP in its final position.

Can they setup both units wired then leave the master wired and have the AP powered by a POE injector so creating a mesh?

My answer is yes but I wanted a second option

Yes, you can.

The keyword is to set up both units wired and then unplug it once it's ready prior to deployment to test.

yes, after they are paired successful only the master has to remain cabled.

It does not matter which AP you use a s the master, the first one to boot up which has a cable attached is the master, except you have a preferred master configured.

Most important is to enable Mesh, if mesh is not enabled it will not work.
