Hi Fabio Santo,

Thank you for posting your query!

I have a few questions for you:

1. What was your last firmware version, and what is your current firmware version and switch model?
2. Is this issue happening only on the ports 2/1/32, 1/1/4, 1/1/23, and 1/1/31, or are other ports experiencing the same problem? How many ports are affected?
3. Have you tried changing the port, SFP, or cable with a known working one? If not, could you please try that?

Please share the below logs :

show media eth X/X/X the port in use for the connection
show interface eth X/X/X / the port in use for the connection
show run interface eth X/X/X the port in use for the connection
show media validation eth X/X/X the port in use for the connection

Thanks
Mayank

My company's switch logs show Down and Up statuses on the interfaces, even though the end devices are operational. We performed a firmware update to see if it would resolve the issue, but it didn't.

Hello Mayank.

1. SPR08095s 05/19/2025 stable. I don't remember the previous one.

2. No. It's currently occurring on several interfaces of the ICX-7150 edge switches. More than 10 ports per device.

3. Yes, the port and physical cabling have been replaced, but the logs remain. And the strangest thing is that there is no connectivity failure on the end devices.

To confirm whether the port is indeed flapping, you can check the interface uptime using the command: "show interface ethernet <port number>" and verify if you notice any CRC's or InErrors

Thank you

The second screenshot contains the information you're requesting. There are no CRC errors. The end device is a desktop computer, and as I said, it's not affected by a lack of connectivity. My issue is with the log messages that end up blocking the Switch logs.

This will help determine whether the issue persists without the patch panel in the path.

Thank you
