Hi Elnoor,

I have checked the data sheet of ICX7550-24F-E2, and it states that the ICX has 1/10 Gbps (Gigabits per second). Each of the 24 ports can operate at either 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps, depending on the type of transceiver or connection used. This is common in SFP/SFP+ slots, which are flexible and auto-negotiate speed. Hence You can use 1G to ensure compatibility with the server NIC.

Please refer to the below link for your reference :

https://www.ruckusnetworks.com/products/ethernet-switches/itemicx7550-24f/

Thanks

Mayank

We are currently using an ICX7550-24F-E2 switch equipped with a 10GE SFPP RJ-45 TX 30M TAA Low Power module.

We have a server with a 1G LAN interface, but when connected to the switch, the port status remains down and the protocol is down

it is possible to configure the port to operate at 1G to ensure compatibility with the server’s NIC?
Alternatively, should we replace the existing 10G module with a 1000BASE-T SFP copper module (RJ-45 connector) that supports 1Gbps operation?
