Hello.
We recently got a new customer.

The customer has been using the ICX6610 for about 2 years.

However, the customer said that he lost the access information (ID, PW, etc.) of the ICX6610 he was using.

I found some access information by searching the records, but I think I need to know the basic password information in advance, so I am requesting it.

I looked for the diagnostics guide and admin guide in the library of Ruckus docs, but there is no information about the basic access information.

I would like to ask for information about the basic access information of the ICX 6610 device.
If not, please tell me how to find out the existing access information or how to access the device without damaging the device config.

Hi MSK,

The ICX6610 does not have a default password once it's been configured — if the credentials have been changed and lost, there's no way to retrieve the existing username/password from the system directly.

However, you can recover access without erasing the existing configuration by following the password recovery procedure documented in this RUCKUS forum thread:

ICX Password Recovery Guide (without losing config)

This method involves:

Connecting to the switch via the console port.
Interrupting the boot sequence to enter the boot monitor mode.
Booting into the switch.
Changing or resetting the password.
Re-saving the configuration.
