Can someone please tell me why Ruckus states (see http://docs.ruckuswireless.com/fastiron/08.0.80/fastiron-08080-managementguide/GUID-8CF5299E-3CBC-42FB-AB14-646929DF6007.html) Legacy PD detection should not be enabled on ports where power-consuming devices are not connected.

Shall we experience problems if we break that rule on our ICX-7150's ?

Many thanks in advance !

Lou

Hi Louis,

Poe chip detection mechanism to differentiate a PSE from PD can fail in certain cases and may damage the system. Hence the recommendation.

Thanks
Jijo
