Please disable the POE on all Ports, after that enable the POE port by port and monitor the temperature, or if you have a device like a test your cable.

I think you have short in some cable.

If you still facing the same issue I prefer to open RMA for this switch because the temperature sensor dameg

Hi, I wonder if anyone have a similiar problem.

My ICX-7150-48P Switch fan speed keep chancing for some reason. There's nothing abnormal about the configuration, since I have another Switch that basically have the same configuration (other than IP address and stuff, of course). I try to use fanless-mode but the temperature rise around shutdown level which is kinda worries me.

I've looked at a similar topics in here which able to fix the problem by upgrading the firmware. I tried to upgrade them to the latest one (08095) but the problem still persists. You can see the logs below.

I would be really grateful if anybody can guide me of what to check or what to do. Thanks in advance.

Hello, andhika_pradana_putra.

According to the log you shared, it appears to be a fan speed change due to an increase in the switch's temperature. This is the expected behavior for the fan.

If you consider, however, the temperature on the switch is not normal, we should verify what is causing the high temperature in the switch.
Run a general scan in the status of the switch, physically to check the temperature and installation environment and through CLI with 'show chassis', 'show CPU', 'show tech' etc...

Thanks for the response, orlando_elias and mohammad_atmazih.

I checked the chassis and it seems the temperature of this "thermal plane" is hanging around the temperature of which the fan speed would automatically change.

Is the only choice I have is to (maybe) install additional cooler, or is there any workaround that I could do to at least make the fan speed change less frequently to speed 2?

Below is the show chassis.

Once again, thank you for the response.

If you had a spare switch that can use to replace the current switch, then we can have the high-temperature switch out of production and verify its temperature status. If the switch has a high-temperature status even when it's in an idle state, it could be eligible for an RMA.

Sadly, we cannot configure the way the FAN changes the speed.
