Hi Jeff

If the system information at the bottom of the show version output says "Cold Start" then the switch has been through a power outage. Either a local power outage or someone switched it off and on again at the power outlet. There is no way for the switch to know the reason why it's power supply was cut.

Simon

Hi

Cold Start means that the system was powered on, so it looks like the switch has been through a power outage. Either a local power outage or someone switched it off and on again at the power outlet.

If the switch had restarted itself then the reason given would be Warm Start e.g.
The system : started=warm start reloaded=by "reload"

Simon
