MAC Address Authentication

Hello,

I am trying to set up MAC address authentication for a particular SSID on our virtual smartzone. I've set up a Proxy (SZ Authenticator) directing to one of my NPS servers on our domain, and configured the NPS policies to allow those in a particular AD group. I have imported the list of approved MAC addresses into our AD as user accounts, and these are a member of an allow group, which is referenced in NPS. I've even configured a NAS identifier in NPS, and on the WLAN config, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've searched various sites online, even tried AI tools, which don't seem to work. Is anyone able to give some advice on how I can configure this please?

Dear Brad,

Please share the error that you see on your Events in Event Viewer under NPS, that should give you some information about the failure.

Please check if the shared secret is configured correctly and the same on the SZ side and the NPS side as well.

Also, please confirm if you are using the SZ as proxy or non-proxy on the smartzone ?

What is your NAS IP/Radius client IP configured on the NPS ?

You can check the authentication error in the Event viewer of the NPS server
